I am so sorry I have not been around much recently. It seems that things are always happening lately. Whatever happened to stuff happening in 3's??? My son has started siezing again and I have had to take him in to the hospital for neuro appointments, EEG's, amblutory EEG's, and a bunch of testing physch wise. Poor kid if its not one thing its another. Now I have even more going on. On Friday night I went to our local state college for their first baseball game of the season with my hubby and kids. Somehow just sitting there I managed to destroy my back even more.
As many of you know I have disc problems from when I was attacked while working as a detention officer. I have no idea how, but sometime during the game I managed to make the injury more severe (after 3 darn yrs!!!). I got up after about 2 hrs and wanted to walk around. I had no feeling in my left leg. Since all my numbness was always in the right I didn't think much other then my leg was asleep. I never regained feeling in the foot, have limited feeling in the lower leg below the knee and now (because of the numbness) have managed to hyper-extend my achilles tendon, well we are hoping thats all it is and not a small tear.
So now I am forced to wait. According to the doctor I may or may not ever regain feeling in my left leg, as of right now I have none at all in the foot, pain in the ankle and patchy feeling in my leg.
Surgery is still not an option and I will have to train myself to walk with this leg. I can't say I am not scared, because in truth I am terrified. My hubby is scared to touch me and has said he may never be able to without fearing more injury. I suppose I can't blame him. Goodness know if I can hurt myself just sitting on my butt who knows what a hug could do.
Anyway I am not asking for pity lol... anyone who knows me knows thats the last thing I want. I do hope that I will have a chance to get on here more. I have applied for SSI and I am in the process of going to all the doctors they have decided I need to see. My next one is Tue and that's to see a neurophyschologist. Whe knew there WAS such a thing LOL. I have long said I have lost my mind I suppose now will be the chance to prove it!!! LOL
Anyway I miss you all and I thank you all who have been by my page showing love. Judy,Boone, Lady Victoria, you 3 will never know how many smiles you have brought to my face. I am sorry I have not returned the love but trust me it wasn't because I didn't see or enjoy your comments!

My dear sweet sister and friend... I knew somethings been up and always have you in my positive thoughts. I am so sorry that things have been so rough for you and your family but as all things usually do, this too shall pass. You're not nuts dear, just unique and that's what I love about you! As far as what the quacks tell you, it's all mind over matter - If you do not mind, it does not matter, however, you can use your mind to control what matters and help your body heal. Sending lots of hugs, love and light. Good luck on Tuesday and with SSI. Keep hope alive and know I'm here if you ever need anything!
