Before you read on, please make sure you have verified your email, as you will not be able to send any shout messages unless you have. To verify your email, hover over "My" in the menu bar, then scroll down the list and click "Settings". On the next page, look to the left and under your email address you use to login to Fubar.com. Click the link and a verification email will be sent to your main email account. If you do not receive it right away, make sure to check your spam and/or junk folder to make sure it didnt go there first.
This will explain for you how to use the shout box feature on FUBAR!
Shout Box
There are a couple ways of using the shout box. If you scroll over someones id or picture, you will see a text bar near the bottom of the tooltip(the box that pops up when scrolling over someones id/pic).
Type the message there and click send, and assuming they have their settings to accept your shout message, they can then talk with you in the shout box. Once you are engaged in shoutbox chat with someone, simply click on their name in the shoutbox to continue sending messages!
If you are in a lounge, you may or may not have a visible shout box at the top of your window, as some lounge owners opt to hide this feature in their lounges. If this is the case, dont worry, you can still easily chat with someone in the shoutbox without having to leave the lounge.
While in the lounge, scroll over the persons id/pic that you wish to chat with in shout box.
To the right under the user's primary pic, you will find a shout box button like the following:
Clicking on this button will cause a popup shout box to appear, allowing you to chat with a user while in any lounge. This option is also available anywhere else on the site, whether in a lounge or not.
