I have been receiving a lot of messages asking how I'm losing so much weight so I decided to make a blog addressing it.

First let me just say how awesome it is that you want to improve yourself! Exercise is very important when losing weight but what is even more important is your diet. When it comes to losing weight 80% of it is what you're eating. My diet consists of turkey, fish, chicken, fruits and vegetables. I cut out almost all carbs. No pasta, no bread. Oatmeal is a good source of carbs without it affecting negatively on your diet. It's always important to eat consistantly throughout the day. 5 or 6 small meals is most ideal. Also, I have been taking green tea pills and hoodia as supplements that help also, they are natural. I also drink protein shakes for those in between meal snacks. I work out 3 days a week doing cardio, weight training, and yoga. The initial weight I lost, I was working out at a club called Curves (for women only, found all over the world.) They have a great program. It was only a half an hour 3 days a week. I have since moved on to 24 hour fitness (not available on the east coast). I did this because I believe I am ready to start focusing on toning and sculpting. Good luck with your goal!

I too highly recommend using green tea pills...not that I had a lot of weight to lose. In case people are wondering or don't feel like researching green tea helps to speed up your metabolism...there for helping you to burn more calories. I usually take mine before I go to work...I have a very physical job lol...but the individual should take it some time b4 whatever activity they choose...b4 workouts, jogging, daily bike ride to work. Granted the results are different per person but besides the antioxidants which are also good, it can help you burn off extra calories that u wouldn't normally. Congrats Holly...tho I did/do like ur bootyful booty

It's really inspiring to be able to see your journey as you went through the weight-loss. I know I need to do the same, and I'm putting more and more effort into it every day. It just helps a lot more to actually see it happen. I know that I'm a guy, so it's not the same entirely, but still. I know I need to be more healthy, and it's been my goal. Thanks for that.

Great blog post! Diet certainly plays a huge part. I usually ride my bike most days, and all it seems to do is give me fabulously toned legs and that's it.

Hope that you reach your goal, Holly, and that you're doing it for yourself. I'm not too much trying to lose weight, but trying to get this pouch of a belly off, not to mention getting back to the way I was in the military.

Glad to see that you're making progress, beautiful. I'm definitely pulling for you. :)

Thats awesome that you are helping out. I have a friend, well my crush Really, you can find her on My profile page, She also Lost a shit load of weight. She is very proud of herself and I am proud of her as well. Any human being who can look in the mirror and have the strength and courage to change what they don't like, Is a Phjenominal person. It's a shame ppl can't find the courage or the strength to change themselves more often. I myself have made a great change in my life. I am a recovering alkie/addict. not at all what ppl see physically about me, but my actions and such change, aswell as my attitude. I AM NOT AN ASSHHOLE ANYMORE, LOL
