What is there to know about any man? And how can a man tell you what he is? Words usually just serve to cover up what a man thinks, or maybe they just antagonize him and make him defend ideas he never gave a thought to. I reckon it's hard to know what to believe. A man hears many things, and he reads so many things.
If there is something, though, if there is...well I believe in things I love....the feel of a good horse under me, being along blue mountains, the feel of a woman's skin, so soft, so tender. I believe in the pleasant sound of running water, the way the leaves turn red in the fall. I believe in the experience of a cool breeze as it blows across my face on a hot summer day, and the sound it makes as it travels through so many trees. I believe in the smell of autumn leaves when they are burning, and the crackle of a burning log. Sort of sounds like it was chuckling over the memories of a time when it was a tree.
I like the sound of rain on a roof, and the look of a fire in a fireplace, and the embers of a campire and coffee in the morning. I believe in a great catch from a lake or stream, or how refreshing it is if I decide to take a dip. I believe there is something to be said for the beauty of standing looking upon a beautiful view, the smell of the ocean air as you stand there watching dolphins frolic in the surf. I thoroughly enjoy the sounds people make when they are consuming some great dish I have prepared. I like the feeling of a girl in my arms, warm and close. Those are the things that matter.
The things I look for in others is as follows.....Anyone who can make me laugh, people who are not afraid to climb trees in a flood, anyone capable of fishing, someone who don't mind dancing in the rain but would prefer to avoid lighting, when does this acid trip end.... anyone who remembers chutes and ladders as a kid, people who are afraid to play in traffic because they know better, and can identify the ones that should and feel that they are retards, anyone who can use a pair of stilts, anyone who feels they don't need to brag, a person that likes to banter, anyone who might have a good conspiracy theory, anyone who could possibly be as lost as me and when does this acid trip end.... people who enjoy eating good home cooked food, someone who enjoys entertaining as much as I do, anyone who has seen a goat fall off the grand canyon, someone who has considered the career of herding elephants around an airport, anyone who remembers Lincoln logs, people who laugh at my jokes and/or twistedness that might follow, when does this acid trip end.... anyone else who isn't afraid of being themselves and can prove it.
Everything from classical, R&;B, Rap, Gospel, Country, Punk, Rock, Alternative, Industrial, Johnny Cash, Gothic....sometimes, Swing, Big Band, some Blues, some Jazz, and anything thats steeped in the deep south sound.... I have my own musical background, so most music I have appreciation for.
Johnny Cash is great. Lester Flatts is also good.
