I try to rate as much as possible, but I only fan people I actually know and *AM* a fan of :) Points aren't that important to me, so if you just want those and don't care about meeting me then I'm not the person to hit up. Thanks for reading!

My name is Stephanie but you can call me Steph (less to type!), I'm 23 and I'm terrible at writing these things. I love music, movies, traveling, good conversation, being outdoors, nice & funny people and all that good stuff. Add me or leave a comment, I love meeting new people! I'm a really, really nice and giving person- but I become a sarcastic tornado to mean people and those who act stupid just to act stupid. :) Um, if you want to get to know me, talk to me! I'm really goofy and really open.

I want to die by either yelling out "wheeeeeee!" or "there's too many of them!!!" A combination of both would be excellent.

Basically I love all music as long as it's good & sincere, from metal to 60's girl groups & r&b to glam rock to alt-folk and old-school garage bands. I listen to a healthy diet of Yo La Tengo, which I think is good for your hearing. If a genius lyricist is involved, I'm probably swooning. Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed/John Cale/anybody Underground, David Bowie, Neko Case, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Paul Simon... I also love really dreamy music, and I'm a sucker for harps, slide guitars and violens. I'm also a HUGE T. Rex fan,.

The last few bands/shows I've seen were Alice in Chains, The Violent Femmes and the Unholy Alliance (Mastodon, Lamb of God and Slayer) and Of Montreal, who performed almost the whole show completely naked. Awesome.

I'm currently learning the acoustic guitar, what I'm learning and wanting to learn style-wise is Joni Mitchell, Cat Power, Cat Stevens (rawr), M. Ward, Sufjan Stevens, Simon & Garfunkle, Robert Johnson, and I'd like to advance to Neko Case level and be able to perform at this cool open mic night that's in a nearby small town in the basement of an old hotel. At this point though, I really just sound like Jandek. I dream up songs all the time so I really want to learn how to be able to write them down.

I'm into stuff most others are into- good films, music (I'm obsessed with discovering new stuff, used CD stores & MP3 blogs), people, fun, traveling, books... I love feeding ducks and birds in the park, eating vast amounts of good sushi, putting makeup on the willing (especially if they pay me!), making people laugh is my favorite pasttime.

I'm a total bookworm, and I have been all my life. I love all genres but I tend to like mysteries, horror and comedy. I also love autobiographies of old Hollywood screen legends (my faves are Million Dollar Mermaid by Esther Williams and the ones written by Lucille Ball and Tony Curtis) I love anything written by David Sedaris, too.

Sudoku Puzzles by SudokuPuzz

I'm a sudoku and crossword puzzle addict. I want to get back into Cribbage, and I love this one Dutch game that I can't spell, but it's pronounced "shoebacca"

My mom- a cliché, but she's awesome. Nelson Mandela, who has shown that while it's not easy to be right in the face of an incredible wrong, it's always worth fighting for. Tom Waits, man if i could be another person for 24 hours or be stuck on an island with one person, he'd be my choice. Lastly but not leastly- Tom Savini.

[ YMDB- My Top 20 Favorite Films ] [ My DVD Collection online ]

A lot of people "love" movies, but I LOVE MOVIES. In the cinema, on the small screen, even reading about them. They've been a part of me since I was too young to talk, and always will be. Any fellow cinephiles please feel free to add me/message me to talk movies :)

Tooo many favorites to name, but my all-time fave is Singin' in the Rain. My favorite comedies are ANYTHING by Buster Keaton, the greatest & funniest genius to ever be on the silver screen. Seriously, rent "The Cameraman" and you'll be thanking me for the rest of your life. This is Spinal Tap, Wayne's World, the Christopher Guest improv films (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind & For Your Consideration), screwball comdies from the 30's & 40's (like The Philadelphia Story, Sullivan's Travels, The Lady Eve, My Man Godfrey, etc. etc.), I love anything by Hitchcock, Francois Truffaut and Ingmar Bergman, French New Wave (Cléo from 5 to 7, Truffaut, Godard, Rohmer, etc) and well-done modern comedies (I LOVED Hot Fuzz & Knockd Up!) I love old, classic films the most and also enjoy horror films (Romero's Dead series! Evil Dead series! Italian ones ala Argento, Bava & Fulci!) and the Pixar films a lot. I'm addicted to documentaries, Hoop Dreams probably being my favorite. I love pretty much anything made by the Maysles brothers and Sinofsky/Berlinger.

There's a book called "Hollywood Picks the Classics" where actors & actresses pick their favorite classic films. Even though I'm not famous or from Hollywood, the top few classics I would pick would be Some Like It Hot, Singin' in the Rain, The Third Man, Mrs. Miniver, The Best Years of Our Lives, His Girl Friday, Dark Passage, Lifeboat, 12 Angry Men, Sullivan's Travels, The Philadelphia Story, The Bad and the Beautiful and All about Eve. Man, I suck at narrowing down.
